about ambreen

My research and practice have focused on organizational efforts around peace and sustainability.

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, a joint program of the Ross School of Business and the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

With nearly two decades of experience working with conflict resolution and environmental organizations, I bring a diverse professional background to my academic work. I hold a BA in Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations and Policy Studies from Rice University, an MA in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, followed by an MA in Sociology, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. There, I continued my academic pursuits, obtaining a Ph.D. in Sociology focusing on sustainability, peace and conflict, and organizations.
